In silver gilt, a white enamelled Maltese cross with ball finials, a crown in each quadrant, the obverse medallion features the symbol of Vasa, surrounded by a red enamelled ring inscribed INST MDCCLXXII GUSTAF DEN III, the reverse mirrors the obverse, the cross is surmounted by a crown and worn on an ovular loop attached to a full length green neck ribbon, the loop is maker marked CFC
